The Hamburg Innovation Awards celebrate a multitude of different innovations, across all industries. Celebrating businesses of all sizes, their awards cover 3 categories:

• Idea: For brand-new companies or pre-startup phase businesses seeking to have their ideas evaluated by the panel.
• Start: For existing companies that are less than 10 years old.
• Growth: For established businesses to submit their latest innovations for review.

Their motto: “Innovations made in Hamburg, worth sharing with the world” resonates with Fristam’s own story, as our entire 115 year history is rooted in Hamburg. We built our first hygienic pumps all those years ago in Hamburg and continue to do so today!

The competition was intense this year, with a stunning array of groundbreaking innovations showcased at the summit. We are truly honoured and thrilled to have been chosen as the award winner in the highly competitive Growth category!

It was an honour to be presented with our award by Katharina Fegebank – Second Mayor of Hamburg and member of the Alliance 90/The Greens party.

So what is this incredible new innovation from Fristam?
To put it simply, this is a new revolutionary energy recovery feature, which will allow users to reclaim and reuse energy created during the pumping process. With this innovation Fristam aims to help customers reduce their energy consumption during manufacturing, saving them money by reducing electric usage as well as protecting the planet by recycling energy which would otherwise be wasted. More details of this innovation, which is currently in the final stages of the field-testing phase will be widely shared very soon!
