What is the FSP Shear Mixer?

Fristam’s FS Series Shear Mixer is an innovative inline mixer engineered for reliable, consistent performance across a range of industries. At its core is a precisely machined rotor-stator assembly featuring intermeshed rows of teeth that work together to emulsify, disperse, homogenize, dissolve, and reduce particle sizes efficiently within liquid mixtures. This high-shear mixing technology ensures every product batch is uniform, free from clumps and delivers a smooth, homogenous finish — even at high volumes.

How the FSP Shear Mixer Works

  1. Liquid product is drawn into the mixing chamber, where the rotor spins at high speed inside the stator.
  2. As the rotor teeth pass with a clearance of 0.5 millimetres from the stator teeth, intense shear forces break down and uniformly distribute particles throughout the liquid.
  3. Centrifugal forces move the fully homogenous product toward the outlet.
