Fristam Launches Pump Training Academy at PPMA Total Show

Normally, training sessions away from the factory floor means downtime, sometimes even visiting an exhibition can be hard to schedule. This year Fristam Pumps are helping visitors to the PPMA Total Show make the most of their exhibition experience, by offering engineers the chance to learn essential pump maintenance skills live at the PPMA Total Show!

Hands-On Pump Training at PPMA 2025

At a dedicated training stand, separate from Fristam’s main exhibition space, visitors can take part in practical sessions using real Fristam hygienic pumps.

• Changing mechanical seals

• Disassembly and reassembly techniques

• Troubleshooting common process issues

• Best practices for hygienic pump maintenance

• Choosing the right pump for your application

This is hands-on training for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries, designed to close the skills gap and improve pump reliability.

Fixed Training Session Times:

Sessions run for around 20 minutes, making them easy to fit into a PPMA show visit. No booking is required for these routine/fixed sessions:

• 11am – FDS Double Screw Pump Training
• 12pm – FP and FZ – Centrifugal Pump Training
• 2pm – FKL and FL – Positive Displacement Pump Training
• 3pm – Shear Blending and Mixing Training
• 3.15pm – Apprentices Pump Training (an overview for beginners)
• 4pm – Exhibitor Training (open to all show visitors too)

Please note, the training space will be open and staffed all day, so even when a session does not appear to be running please feel free to come in and ask a question and get your hands a little dirty!
