FKL

Positive Displacement Pump

Circumferential piston pump - Ultra durable, for heavy duty applications.

Fristam FKL: The Most Durable and Reliable Circumferential Piston Pump on the market

Offering unparalleled durability and reliability, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity! The Fristam FKL series delivers exceptional performance and reliability, even in the most challenging processing environments.

Engineered for Longevity:

  • Unbreakable Shaft: The FKL’s large diameter shaft is guaranteed for life, ensuring exceptional strength and resistance to wear.
  • Contact free: A unique balanced rotor design ensures there is no rotor-to-housing contact, extending the pump’s lifespan significantly.
  • True CIP: The FKL is a close-clearance hygienic PD pump designed for “True CIP,” allowing for cleaning without any disassembly. This simplifies maintenance, reduces downtime, and ensures optimal performance.
  • Copes with Pressure Peaks: This pump is built to withstand sudden pressure fluctuations, protecting your process and equipment.
  • High Flow Rates: The FKL series can handle flow rates up to 120 m³/h, making it ideal for demanding applications.

Beyond Performance:

  • Hygienic Design: The FKL series is designed to meet the strictest hygiene requirements of the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
  • Gentle Product Handling: Minimize product damage with the FKL’s smooth, low-shear pumping action.
  • Low Maintenance: Robust construction and long-lasting components reduce maintenance needs and downtime.

Sustainable and Economical:

Choosing a durable and long-lasting pump is an investment in sustainability. Manufacturing stainless steel components requires significant energy consumption. By selecting a pump built with superior materials and craftsmanship, like the Fristam FKL, you reduce the environmental impact associated with frequent replacements. Extend the lifespan of your equipment and contribute to a more sustainable operation.

Easy Integration:

The FKL’s port-to-port dimensions can be customized to seamlessly replace your existing PD pumps.

Fristam FKL Pump Options:

ATEX, heating jackets, special paint, special surface finish, electro-polish, rectangular inlets, drain, stainless steel gear box, kolsterising, individual adaptations (bespoke) for specific products, processes and systems.

FKL Split-Style Gearbox:

Simplified Maintenance for Maximum Uptime
The FKL features a revolutionary split-style gearbox designed for easy access and reduced maintenance. This innovative design allows for quick inspection and replacement of bearings and shafts, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

FKL's Unbreakable Shaft:

The Backbone of Unmatched Reliability
The Fristam FKL pump doesn't just perform, it endures. At the core of its robust design is a shaft engineered for ultimate strength and longevity. Unlike other manufacturers, Fristam uses a shaft with a diameter up to 25% larger, crafted from a solid piece of 316L stainless steel. This translates to exceptional resistance to bending and breakage, ensuring your FKL pump keeps running smoothly, even under the most demanding conditions.

FKL's Balanced Rotors:

Engineered for Stability and Longevity
At the heart of the Fristam FKL pump are perfectly balanced rotors, a critical design element that sets it apart from the competition.

What does rotor balance mean, and why does it matter?
In the FKL pump, the rotor's support hub is precisely centered, ensuring that force is distributed evenly through the center of the rotor. This prevents the lobes from distorting under pressure, maintaining optimal clearances and pumping efficiency.

Why Balanced Rotors Matter:
Many other pumps utilize unbalanced rotors, where force is not distributed evenly. This imbalance can lead to:

Rotor Deflection:
At higher pressures, the uneven force can cause the rotor tips to bend, compromising pump performance and efficiency.

Premature Wear:
Deflection increases rotor-to-housing contact, accelerating wear and tear on the pump.

Increased Maintenance:
Unbalanced rotors require more frequent maintenance and have a shorter lifespan, leading to increased downtime and costs.
