  • Powders are easily introduced into the hopper at an ergonomic waist-height position.
  • This eliminates the need for ladders and heavy lifting, improving operator safety.

Step 2: Optimized Inline Mixing & Blending

  • Using a combination of vibration, suction, and gravity, powders are seamlessly introduced into a high-speed liquid stream below.
  • A powerful induction pump pulls liquid through the mixer, initiating the blending process.
  • With the right control technology, the Fristam Powder Mixer can be fully integrated into an automated system, including big bags, screw conveyors, and other feeding mechanisms.

Step 3: High-Shear Homogenization

  • The pre-mixed solution is then processed through a high-performance shear blender, eliminating any remaining lumps or agglomerates.
  • This ensures 100% ingredient utilization and a consistent, repeatable blend.

Step 4: Hygienic Cleaning – CIP & SIP Compatible

  • The entire system is fully cleanable using CIP (Clean-in-Place) or SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) technology.

Achieving the Perfect Blend

The FS Shear Blender’s rotor-stator system processes homogeneous products with 0.5 mm shear clearances and tip speeds up to 38 m/s. High turbulence and shear forces ensure efficient blending of multiphase products. With customizable rotor-stator combinations, each system is tailored to product and process needs for optimal performance.

Waist Height Working

With a Fristam Powder Mixer there is no hazardous ladder climbing, heavy lifting, or the risk of dropping equipment from elevated platforms, or excessive bending when adding ingredients. Compact models come with lockable wheels as standard, allowing the Powder Mixer to be effortlessly moved between processes as needed.

Mix Viscosities Up To 1 million cP.

For high viscosity mixing applications, we select a Fristam FDS Double Screw Pump as the induction pump on our Powder Mixer. The FDS is capable of handling viscosities up to 1,000,000 cps and has incredible suction. These features ensure a steady product flow is maintained even as product viscosity increases.
