After Sales & Support – Fristam’s Performance and Service Promise

Dedicated Support from Day One
and Every Day After

At Fristam, our partnership with you doesn’t end at delivery. We are committed to providing premium aftersales support throughout the lifetime of your equipment and beyond. Our service is built around ensuring your production uptime, efficiency and peace of mind.

Maintaining the reliability of your pumps, blenders, and mixers starts with using original Fristam parts. Our components are manufactured to the same precise standards as our equipment – ensuring tight tolerances, consistent quality and maximum service life.

Using non-genuine parts may compromise performance, increase downtime and can even invalidate your warranty. Protect your investment and ensure long-term reliability with parts you can trust.

The best way to ensure that you have a genuine Fristam spare part, is to purchase directly through a Fristam Pumps sales office, or one of our trusted and authorised distributors. To find your local supplier, please review our contact list.

When ordering your spare parts, please provide the pumps serial number. The serial number is always stamped directly onto your Fristam Pump and provided on a name plate.

Examples:
1 – Stamped onto the pump.
2 – Stamped onto a nameplate.

The placement of this stamp and nameplate differs between pump types but is usually easily visible. Please contact Fristam if you need additional support in locating your pump serial number.

While many brands only guarantee spare parts for 10 years, Fristam is committed to decades of performance. In over 80% of cases where a pump is older than 50 years, we are still able to provide spare parts.

This commitment to longevity both reduces our customers’ costs and promotes environmental sustainability by conserving resources and reducing waste.

When you choose Fristam, you choose performance. If a Fristam pump is sold to meet a specific duty, we guarantee it will achieve the stated performance parameters as detailed in the agreed documentation and specifications provided by the customer. This promise reflects our confidence in the engineering, reliability and build quality of every Fristam unit.

Because we see our customers as process partners and adopt a collaborative, rather than purely transactional approach, our commitment is to help you find a workable solution if your pump is not performing as you expect. Our technical team will go above and beyond to investigate the matter fully with you to reach a satisfactory conclusion.

This support can range from remote diagnostics to, where geographically logical, an in-person review of your pump and system to assist in resolving the issue. Our ultimate goal is to get you up and running, reinforcing our dedication to your long-term success.

We understand the importance of meeting your production deadlines. For urgent projects Fristam will do everything in our power to expedite the build of your pump. Our flexible manufacturing process enables Fristam to deliver bespoke equipment 2-8 weeks faster than many other hygienic pump manufacturers.

Our global network of Fristam Manufacturing Hubs, Fristam daughter companies and authorised distributors ensures we deliver a fast, reliable service backed by extensive factory training.

We maintain a comprehensive stock of spare parts and provide expert diagnostics and repairs. Support is delivered through the most efficient method for your location, including assistance from our local partners, remote diagnostics, or service at a Fristam hub. This flexible approach ensures fast response times and minimum disruption to your operations.

Whether it’s routine maintenance or urgent technical assistance, our teams are ready to support you with the highest level of care and technical expertise.

While mechanical seals are considered wear items and aren’t covered by standard warranty, Fristam’s support goes far beyond the industry standard. The key to preventing urgent seal failures is early communication. We strongly encourage you to contact us at the first sign of a potential issue—no matter how minor it may seem. This allows us to partner with you to investigate the root cause, whether it’s related to dry running, system pressure, or chemical incompatibility and resolve it before it affects the pump or your production.

What to do if you notice an issue with your Fristam Pump:
If you notice an issue, please stop the pump immediately if it is safe to do so. While we understand this isn’t always practical, an early shutdown can prevent more serious damage. Contact your Fristam representative or distributor as soon as possible for guidance. To ensure your warranty remains valid, we do advise that should not attempt to disassemble or modify the pump without speaking with us first. The best course of action is to arrange for the unit to be returned for a professional inspection, this should be communicated to Fristam or your official Fristam distributor in advance of sending so we can arrange for this to be booked in for inspection.

Please note that in the rare event of a suspected and premature seal issue:

  • Replacement parts or service will require an official order number.
  • When you return any replaced parts to Fristam for assessment, please ensure that parts are in separate packaging and marked accordingly.

This structured process ensures we explore the root cause analysis of the issue in order to prevent any repeat incidents.
